Day 18: Favorite Food

Day 18: Favorite Food

If you know me...you know my answer to this question...

Pizza.

Pizza is my most favorite food ever.
I could literally eat it every day of my life.

Specifically, cheese pizza...
or pepperoni pizza.

Or any other kind that taste delicious...just don't add onions, peppers, ham, sausage, or anything else gross.

I'm pretty boring when it comes to pizza.
Except for this wonderful spinach, feta, and tomato pizza I made.
Go here for the recipe.

Day 16: Your home or dream home

Day 16: Your home or dream home

We are hoping to build a house this year. I am using Pinterest to plan and organize all household stuff I love!

I want a porch like this...wouldn't mind having the house too...

And a back porch like this...

 And a great sun room...

And an outdoor kitchen like this...

And a closet like this...
I would {maybe} share with John.

And a library that is a mix of these two...

And this bathtub and shower...

And a laundry room like this...
minus that tile...ew.

And a mix of these two kitchens...

And an office for me...and an office for John...

And a living room...and a den...

And also a guest bed and bath...

And these great kid rooms...

and a matching bathroom for each.

A girl can dream...right?

Day 15: Favorite Bible Verse

Day 15: Favorite Bible verse

It's more than just one verse...its the whole chapter.

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not chairtly, if profiteth me nothing.
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity evnieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
Doth no tbehave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall ease; whether there be knowldege, it shall vanish away.
For we know in party, and we prophesy in part.
But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in party shall be done away.
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in party; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
1 Corinthians 13: 1-13

Day 14: A picture of you last year- how have you changed?

Day 14: A picture of you last year- how have you changed?

I'm picking two pictures.

 Me on my wedding day.

 Me at my college graduation.

Both of these pictures were taken last May. Since {right before} these pictures I have graduated college, gotten married, cut 12 inches off my hair for locks of love, got my first teaching job, lost 21 lbs, celebrate my 1st anniversary, and finished my first year of teaching.
This was an exciting year.

It was also a tough year.
I had to leave the school I worked at as an assistant for 4 years to start teaching at a different school. I left behind friends that I miss dearly.
I lost my sweet Great-Great Aunt Stella in December.
My precious Grandmother Buckner went to be with Jesus after suffering from Alzheimer's in February.
And my other grandmother found out she had breast cancer.
{She has since had surgery and is doing great!}

Things have changed over the last year and I'm excited to see with this year has in store.

Day 13: Friends

Day 13: Friends

I have amazing friends.
Be jealous.

My most special friends are these precious girls.
 Krystal, Rachel, Me, Hanna, and Monica on my wedding day.

 My Hannah.
Hannah and I met at Gardner-Webb University my sophomore year. We first became friends in an Elementary Art class.
Hannah was so good at painting, and crafting, and ....
{yeah...not so much}
We bonded by laughing at her projects.
The next year we became roommates and best friends.
When thinking about our friendship the one moment that stands out to me like no other is when we were still newly roommates...
We were in the kitchen of our apartment and there was some leftover pizza crust on the counter. I'm not sure if we had already eaten the pizza or what..I don't really remember.
But I do remember that we were there talking {about how much we hated Gardner-Freaking-Webb, I'm sure} and she started picking at the pizza crust...
Then she took a bite...realized what she had done...looked at me...and waited...
I then picked up a piece...at ate some too...
at that instant we knew that we could be best friends because we are both gross.
{The pizza wasn't like a week old or anything...so don't go judging too much!}
You know I love pizza!
We've made so many memories together and I cherish our friendship.
I miss you Hannah!

 Rach.
Rachel and I have been friends for a long time... we grew up in church together...and have been friends since we were about 8 or so.
When we were kids and teenagers we spent a lot of weekends and summers together.
Rachel is now a wife, a mother {to two beautiful girls}, and still a great friend.
It's so nice to know that even after all of these years we still have one-another.
Love you Rachel!

 The {second}favorite granddaughter, Monica.
Not my granddaughter, my cousin...but she is delusional in her thinking that she is the favorite granddaughter.
We all KNOW who that is.
Monica has been a role model for me my entire life. I can remember watching her fix her hair, do her make-up, and do whatever else was cool in the 80's {haha} and wanting to be just like her.
We have had lots and lots of fun times together such as: winning at Taboo, winning at Cranium Wow, winning at Smart Ass...we do lots of winning in this family.
I am so thankful that I have her as a cousin, a role model, and a friend.
She is a great wife, mom, and Christian woman.
I love you Monica, can't wait for the beach...and to win at some board games!

Classy Krystal.
Krystal and I met our freshman year at Gardner-Webb University...we lived in the same dorm building but didn't become good friends until later.
We also bonded over Hannah's lack of art creativity.
{sorry Hannah}
Krystal and I had lots of classy moments together...
hanging out at Ink Link...
Combos...
and skipping class...
Oh how I miss her.
She is such a good friend that I even introduced her to John's friend Shane.
And now they are married
and have a little Bean.
We miss you guys so much and can't wait to see you again!
{They moved :(}

 My Lena.
I don't have a picture with her on my wedding day because for some odd reason my brother didn't think my PERFECT wedding was an appropriate second date...
{Shows what he knows...}

Lena has been dating my baby brother for a little over a year now and I LOVE her.
I am so lucky that God has brought her into our family and I hope she stays around for a long time.
She is so sweet to my brother, always gives great hugs, and is my friend.
Love you!

I am so very blessed to have such great friends in my life!
